Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: June 25, 2025

By booking a service with H & U Express Moving LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure transparency, protect both parties, and promote a smooth, professional moving experience.

1. Services Offered

H & U Express Moving provides residential and commercial moving services, packing, loading and unloading, storage solutions, and furniture assembly and specialty moves. We offer multiple service packages including Easy Move, Express Move, Standard Move, Premium Move, and Elite Move. Each package includes protective supplies such as plastic wrap, bubble wrap, and moving blankets.

2. Booking & Scheduling

Moves must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Clients may reschedule with a minimum of 24 hours' notice at no additional cost. If delays arise due to weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and adjust the schedule as needed. H & U Express Moving is not responsible for delays caused by such external events.

3. Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to reserve your move. The remaining balance is due in full upon completion of the move and must be paid before our crew departs the final location. We accept multiple forms of payment including cash, credit/debit cards, Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, and Apple Pay.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

If you cancel your move less than 48 hours before the scheduled date, a $25 cancellation fee will apply. All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

5. Service Limitations

We do not move hazardous materials, firearms, explosives, or any other prohibited items. We cannot move individual items that exceed 500 pounds or that are valued over $10,000, unless disclosed and approved in writing prior to the move. Disassembly and reassembly of furniture must be requested and approved in advance.

6. Damage & Liability

H & U Express Moving is responsible for damage to items that are packed and transported by our team. We are not liable for damage to items that were packed by the customer. Any damages caused by our crew must be reported within 24 hours of the completed move. We offer basic valuation coverage; full-value protection may be available upon request. Fragile or high-value items should be disclosed in advance and securely packed.

7. On-Site Billing Policies

All moves are subject to a one-hour minimum charge. Drive time between locations and any delays caused by the client—such as waiting for keys, elevators, or access—will be billed at the regular hourly rate. If a move exceeds the estimated time, billing will continue in 30-minute increments at the agreed hourly rate.

8. Additional Services & Fees

Additional service charges apply as follows: an extra mover can be added for $70 per hour; furniture assembly and disassembly is charged at $35 per hour; a stair fee of $25 per floor applies where applicable; packing materials are available for a one-time charge of $20; and commercial delivery services, such as store pickups, are charged a one-time fee of $20.

9. Storage Terms

Storage units are available with climate control upon request. We provide a month-to-month rental agreement outlining billing, access, and termination terms. Only the client and authorized H & U personnel have access to the storage units, which are locked, monitored, and secured. In the event of non-payment, a formal notice will be issued. Continued non-payment may result in item removal or auction, in accordance with our rental agreement and state laws.

10. Customer Responsibilities

A client or authorized representative must be present at the pickup location to confirm inventory and provide instructions. Clients are responsible for securing parking and any necessary permits for both pickup and drop-off locations. While labeling is not mandatory, it is highly recommended for fragile items to ensure proper handling.

11. Insurance & Certificates

Coverage applies only to items handled directly by our crew. Insurance certificates can be provided upon request. We recommend disclosing any high-value or fragile items during the booking process.
